অঙ্গিরা দত্ত দন্ডপাটের লেখা ঐতিহাসিক থ্রিলার উপন্যাস ‘সংকটে গৌড় (সূচনা পর্ব)’ পড়লাম। লেখিকা সুনিপুণ ভাবে রহস্যের আলো-আঁধারি তৈরি করেছেন পুরো বইটি জুড়ে। পালযুগের সময়ের বৌদ্ধ বিহারের ভিক্ষুদের জীবনযাপনের চিত্র এবং বিশ্ববিদ্যালায়ের নিপুন বিবরণ তুলে ধরেছেন কাহিনির ভেতরে। এই বই শুধু ঐতিহাসিক থ্রিলার গোত্রে সীমাবদ্ধ থাকেনি, উঠে এসেছে মানব মনের নানান অনুভূতি, সমাজের চিত্র। শব্দ চয়নে লেখিকার মুন্সিয়ানা অনস্বীকার্য। ইতিহাসের অনেক অজানা খুটিনাটি লেখিকা গল্পের সঙ্গে সুন্দর ভাবে বলে গেছেন। টীকা অংশটি বইটির মান আরও বাড়িয়েছে। অলংকরণগুলি যথাযথ, পুরো বইটিতে যত্নের ছাপ স্পষ্ট।

বাংলার অলৌকিক গল্পের ক্লাসিল ঘরানার ছোঁয়া পেলাম ‘লৌকিক জীবনের অলৌকিক আখ্যান’ বইয়ের গল্পে। ‘দড়ির খেলা’, ‘বীর বাঁকুড়া’, ‘জোড়া কবর’ সেরার তালিকায় থাকবে। এছাড়া বাকিগুলো ভালো লেগেছে। প্রত্যেকটা গল্পে লেখিকার গল্প বলার ধরনটা খুব ভালো লেগেছে, তরতর করে গল্প এগিয়ে যায়। এরকম আরও গল্প লেখিকার থেকে পড়তে চাই।

This book is a solid 10/10.  It contains the suspense politics of the Pala dynasty of ancient Bengal. It talks about the university of that time, which is really fascinating. The protagonist is a Buddhist monk who is very intelligent. This historical thriller book Sankate Gour is great .
